Last weekend, I went to Puerto Galera for the first time. It was a short visit, but I needed to take a break. Days before the trip, I received the news that I have been waiting for since December. But more on that later. For now, I'd love to revisit how relaxing and a little adventurous my weekend was. You see, my friends and I have been wanting to go out of town for a while already. We've been planning and planning for years, but we never get to actually go to those trips. But for this one, everything was spontaneous: the hotel, the transportation, the food, and the activities. Everything was left to opportunities.

Hong Kong
I have been feeling rather down lately. School, relationships, the future, and life in general seems to be throwing too many questions and bitchiness in my direction. So while I still have a hint of optimism in me, I'm finally sharing some of my photos from my Hong Kong trip last October. It's my second time going to HK and first time going out of the country during Halloween. It was a blast, and I had so much fun. I think I'm really at my happiest when I travel. Too bad I can't do it as often as I want to.

Siem Reap, Cambodia - Day 3
Finally, day 3 of our Cambodia tour! This post will be picture heavy instead, as I truly believe in the saying that "A picture speaks a thousand words". That and I have a lot of things to catch up with for school.

Siem Reap, Cambodia - Day 2: Temple Run and Night Market
Part 1: Temple Run
Day 2 was our most tiring day back in Cambodia, as we scheduled to have our temple tour. As I've mentioned from my previous post, I wanted to go to Cambodia because of the beautiful temple that I saw in a Tomb Raider movie back in 2001. On our second day, I fulfilled that goal. Of course, we started with the amazing Angkor Wat.
We, along with dozens of other tourists, hoped to see the sunrise. However, since it was almost the start of the rainy season in Cambodia, we were not able to see any ray of light when we got there. That missed sunrise is one reason why I want to go back to Cambodia! Still, the our second day was still promising.

Siem Reap, Cambodia - Day 1
My first term of graduate school just came to a close. Thankfully, I passed all my subjects with considerably flying colors. My second term already started last Wednesday, so before my schedule go crazy again, I decided to finally blog about my trip to Cambodia last June! F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!
Why Cambodia? Because I'm a big fan of Tomb Raider, and I've been playing it ever since I was in grade school. I think I suck at the game, but I love it nonetheless. When I first watched the movie in 2001 and saw Angelina Jolie jumping around the rocky temples of Cambodia, the ten years old me wanted to be there. So I told myself that I have to go there no matter what. And that became a reality last June, and woke up with this view right outside our room:

Holiday Recap and 2013
Once again, the holiday season made me such a terrible blogger. For the whole month of December, I've been a cook and a baker numerous times that I wasn't able to be a photographer to any of our feasts. Nevertheless, my holidays and 2012 as a whole was really great. I've experienced many things, was surrounded by great people, had an amazing birthday, and the world did not end.
Now, here we are starting a new year, 2013. I used to make specific resolutions when I was younger. But since I learned that not all will be as I planned it, I've since embraced a single resolution, which is change. Change for the better, and change for what is right. With change, I also found out that some fears can be overcome. So far, it hasn't failed me yet. I'm more outgoing and more confident now ever since I've embraced that changes are inevitable. This year, I plan to make more changes, starting with the relationships that I've built and building with people in my life. So, dear reader, instead of asking you what you're new year's resolutions are, I ask you: What changes are you willing to make? And what fears are you willing to overcome?

A Psychedelicious Thursday
The weather got me! I'm in bed and sick, so what better way to be productive than to blog. This is a little late, but last July 12, 2012, one of my college friends, Kimmy, invited us to attend the Philippine launch of Majolica Majorca's Summer make-up line entitled Psychedelicious. Kimmy was our block mate during our first year in college, but due to some personal reasons, she transferred school the next year. That is why I really wanted to go because we haven't seen Kimmy for about three years! I immediately canceled all my plans for the day and went with them.
The event was held at the ground floor of SM Makati. Everything about the event was sweet and colorful, which is a parallelism to Majolica Majorca's products.

Goodbye, July!
July started slow and ended so fast! I can't believe it's already August. Today, I'm back to work, although I'm working at home due to the storm that''s currently flooding the Metro. Contrary to last year, I'm more excited to go back to work this time. It's not only because of my credit card bill, but also because I like being productive. And speaking of productive, remember the list I made before July vacation started? Here's what I accomplished from them:
Accomplished:
- Learned how to drive
- Got a (student) driver's license (I have to wait a month before I can get a non-professional driver's license).
- Made multiple Divisoria trips
- Went to our company outing
- Watched Eiga Sai
- Cleaned my room
Partly-accomplished:
- Read some of the books in my reading lists - and added some more!
- Blogged - a little. I was always busy and tired due to numerous outings and plans, which is why I never get to blog a lot.
Unaccomplished:
- Lose some lbs. - Although I didn't lose any lbs, I didn't gain any! In other words, I learned how to maintain my food intake. My next step would be lessening it.
- Post some of my DIY projects - This is due to my laziness of transferring photos from cameras to my century old laptop.
I accomplished more than I thought I would, and I'm kind of proud of myself. What's best about this year's vacation is I was able to spend equal amount of time with my family and different groups of friends. :) I'm wishing that the rest of this year will be awesome! With that said...

Divisoria for the nth time
I went to Divisoria today with my mama. I was supposed to do a little canvassing because my office mates and I will be going back there on Friday to buy stuffs for our company outing. But due to the rain, I focused more on what I planned to buy. :) I'm very glad that Divi did not disappoint me (there are times that it does). There were new stocks, and they even have end-of-season and mid-year sales. Who knew, right? Anyways, I withdrawn P3,000 to splurge today, and here's what I bought:
I bought three jeggings (P200/P200/P250) and one pair of pants (P330).
