A Psychedelicious Thursday

The weather got me! I'm in bed and sick, so what better way to be productive than to blog. This is a little late, but last July 12, 2012, one of my college friends, Kimmy, invited us to attend the Philippine launch of Majolica Majorca's Summer make-up line entitled Psychedelicious. Kimmy was our block mate during our first year in college, but due to some personal reasons, she transferred school the next year. That is why I really wanted to go because we haven't seen Kimmy for about three years! I immediately canceled all my plans for the day and went with them.

The event was held at the ground floor of SM Makati. Everything about the event was sweet and colorful, which is a parallelism to Majolica Majorca's products.

More photos of this tasty event after the jump!

Link Love: Trinkets to Be Loved

My friend Pampeem of Pampered Pumpkin featured here has moved, and her new blog is now Trinkets to Be Loved! And again, she has a new set of accessories that I know you guys will love. Check them out:
Collar Necklace
 Ribbon Necklace

"The Claw!" Rings. I so loved these I bought two!
 Cloth bracelets

 Wing Ring

Aside from her accessories, she also started to share bits and pieces of her life - from her whines to her fashion tips! I'm loving how she gave a theme for each day of the week (e.g. Whiny Mondays, Style Tuesdays, etc). I'm so excited for her! I hope you guys can visit her and avail some of her goods!

Divisoria for the nth time

I went to Divisoria today with my mama. I was supposed to do a little canvassing because my office mates and I will be going back there on Friday to buy stuffs for our company outing. But due to the rain, I focused more on what I planned to buy. :) I'm very glad that Divi did not disappoint me (there are times that it does). There were new stocks, and they even have end-of-season and mid-year sales. Who knew, right? Anyways, I withdrawn P3,000 to splurge today, and here's what I bought:

I bought three jeggings (P200/P200/P250) and one pair of pants (P330).

More finds after the jump!

What I Would Wear: Summer Day's Walk

I am not a fashion blogger. Perhaps, I would never be. But I am a fashion enthusiast, and I've been wanting to start this series ever since I started a blog. Due to busy work schedules and frequent laziness, I wasn't able to. Thanks to Polyvore, which I only recently used even though I'm already a member a year ago, making collages will be easier. So for my first What I Would Wear Post, here's what I'd love to wear for a summer day's walk:
Almost Summer

Don't you just love that light blue skirt? It was actually the first color I thought off. Add to this outfit a good book and my handy camera and I'm set to go anywhere. How about you? What would you wear for a simple summer day?

Link Love: Pampered Pumpkins

As I've mentioned here, my friend, Pampeem, was getting ready with her online accessories shop. And last March 14, 2012, she already published her blog. You can check it out here. In the meantime, here are some of my favorites from her summer collection:
(This Miu Miu inspired necklace is jut adorable!)

Be a gem and drop by her blog!

A Day Off

I don't have many sources of money. My job pays me a decent amount, which I mostly use for my Japanese classes, food, and transportation. I don't really ask money from my parents anymore (except for occasions when I have the privilege to do so). However, at the same time, I really love to shop. When I do have a lot of extra money, I do give myself a chance to buy branded clothes and shoes (some of my favorite shops are Bayo, Forever 21, and Apple & Eve.) BUT, when I only have little extra money, I go to Divisoria. I've blogged about it before (here). This second post just shows how much I love that place; I wish I can go there everyday.

I went with my friend and office mate, Pampeem, today. She's planning to start her own business of accessories, in which I will be helping her out with the marketing (soon!). I only have P2000, but my mom gave me another P1000 for some household stuffs. These are what I ended up with:

Blouse - P 250
Dress - P350
Accessories (7 rings, 2 necklaces, and 2 bracelets) - P530
Post-its (6 different designs) - P150
Shoes - P150
Beanie - P100
Belts (2) - P100

Not pictured:
Automatic Umbrellas (3) - P600
Aprons (2) - P60

In total, I spent P2290 (P2662 including food and transportation) for 28 items! It couldn't have been much cheaper if it weren't hard to haggle today. There weren't so many people, so the vendors were trying to be stubborn. I did score the rings for a very cheap price. What I love even more was that the weather was cooperating, as it was really cool and shady. I hope to come back next week (for new stocks). I wish my bank account cooperates with me though.

P.S.

For those who haven't gone to Divisoria and are planning to, here's a very interesting post I found about haggling. I lol-ed when I read it, because it's exactly what I do (except for #4 and #5, as I'm not Chinese and I've been to Divi so many times already)!

Divisoria

My mama and I went to Divisoria today. It was really tiring, but I bought what I went for and some other stuffs for a good amount of peso. Here's the loot:

I bought the following:

Brown Knitted Cardigan: P250
Gray Knitted Cardigan: P275
6 Handkerchiefs: P55
Jeggings: P200
2 Belts: P100
Shoes: P370
Vintage Designed Blouse: P250
Black Ribbon Ring (Below): P60

That adds up to P1560 (for 14 items), which is only about three tops if I shop in the famous local mall or two tops from my favorite international brand. This is why I really love going to Divisoria. I'm planning another trip with some of my friends, and I'm looking forward to it!

BTW:

Here's what I wore today:

Forever 21

As for most of you already know, the real Forever 21 has just opened its store at SM Megamall last week. Everybody was talking about it and I, myself, is excited in going there too. I'm looking forward to their shoe selections in particular. However, I'm still waiting for the hype to cool down which might take a long while since collections for the next season will be coming soon too. I just don't want to fight my way through clothe racks and dressing rooms.

For some who are still wondering why the previous Forever 21 stores suddenly closed down/ renamed I found this review that states the reason why.
